The owner and incoming CEO of Twitter Elon Musk is looking for a new CEO for the social network, according to a publication on the CNBC network. The appointment of a new CEO, if it does happen, comes after Musk ran a poll among Twitter users on the question of whether to stay in the job or step down. The majority of followers voted in favor of replacing Musk in the position.
Musk, who bought the company for $44 billion last October, has previously said his role as CEO would be temporary. Last month, Musk said he “looks forward to reducing my time at Twitter and finding someone else to run the company long-term.” However, on Sunday He tweeted that there is no possible successor for him at the social media company.
