The playoffs in Israel are still in progress, but in the meantime Maccabi Tel Aviv, according to a report in Greece, is interested in Chinano Onoako, the center of Bnei Herzliya, which they will meet for the best series of three games in the playoff semifinals that will open this coming Thursday.
According to the report, Herzliya’s high arouses interest in the Euroleague as well, but also in the NBA. In fact, representatives of the Cleveland Cavaliers came to Tel Aviv to closely monitor the issue of the chin, who will try to record a good performance in the upcoming series.
Onoako reached Bnei Herzliya this season, scoring 15.7 points in the media with 9.4 rebounds, of which 2.5 on offense, along with 2.7 assists, 1.7 assists and 1.4 blocks. The chin is the brother of ex-Maccabi Tel Aviv, Arinza Onoako, and led the team to win the state cup and third place in the league in the regular season.
The chin began his professional career after being selected in the 37th pick in the 2016 draft by the Houston Rockets, where he played six games in total. In the two seasons before coming to the country he played in South Korea and last season in the Croatian league, where he was selected for the top five and the top five of the season in the Croatian league and led Zadar to a double.
