Maccabi Tel Aviv continues to look for targets and today (Thursday) it was reported in Brazil that the team is trying to add Natan, the 26-year-old midfielder of Atletico Mineiro.
The 26-year-old Natan is on loan to Fluminense and plays mostly as a forward midfielder, but can play on the wing and as a second striker. He has scored two goals and set up another so far in the Brazilian Serie A, but Fluminense is unlikely to extend his loan.
Nathan played in Brazil’s youth teams and grew up in Chelsea, but did not play a single game for the Blues. He also moved to Vitesse Arnhem, where he played alongside Sharan Yeni, and recorded games in the Dutch league before returning to Brazil. He received several offers from Brazilian teams and it is possible that he will be loaned once more.
The player received an appeal from the Yellows of Vladimir Ivic according to the local “Torcedors”, and he is not expected to continue with the team which would allow the Yellows to sign him. The transfer window in Israel ends on September 28.
Fluminense is not stressed by the yellow offer, according to the report, but as mentioned does not plan to sign the player. His price, according to the Brazilian media, is 5 million euros – which may increase the chance that he will be borrowed and not sold. Natan himself wants to stay at Fluminense next season, and earns about 117 thousand euros.
