Report: US assists Ukraine in attacking Moscow

by time news

A senior U.S. security official told NBC tonight (Friday) that “the United States has provided Ukraine with intelligence that helped it sink the Moscow warship.”

According to the source, the attack on the ship occurred after Ukrainian forces asked the Americans about a ship sailing in the Black Sea south of Odessa, which the US identified as “Moscow”. The American forces helped confirm its location, before the Ukrainians attacked it.

At the same time, it was emphasized that the US did not know in advance that Ukraine was going to attack the ship, and was not involved in the decision to attack.

Shortly after the report, a Pentagon spokesman said John Caribbean Denied the things. Kirby claimed that the U.S. provides Ukraine with intelligence assistance only regarding “defense missions,” and clarified that Washington is not assisting in carrying out offensive operations against Russia.

Moscow, Russia’s Black Sea Fleet’s flagship, sank on April 14 after being hit by two Ukrainian missiles. It is the largest Russian warship sunk in battle since World War II.
