/ The Washington Post newspaper revealed, quoting informed sources, that the American base that was recently attacked by a drone in Jordan lacks the necessary air defense systems.

The newspaper reported in a report, which Agency reviewed: “One of the officials described the drone used in the attack on the Jordanian base as a “Shahed-101″, a weapon used by militants in Iraq.”

She pointed out that the US forces may not have noticed the approach of the drone because it was flying at a low altitude, and they did not have an air defense system that could shoot it down, noting that they instead relied on electronic warfare systems.

It is noteworthy that the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on January 28 that an American base on the border between Jordan and Syria was attacked by a drone.

Washington accused groups allied with Iran of being behind the attack, and confirmed that it would respond, while Tehran denied responsibility and said that the “Islamic Resistance” makes its decisions without referring to Tehran.

In response, US forces launched airstrikes in Iraq and Syria against the IRGC-QF and groups, resulting in civilian and military casualties and significant damage to public and private property.
