New Delhi: KPCC in connection with Monson Mavungal. Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has informed the Lok Sabha in writing that the reporter who gave fake news against the President has publicly apologized and scrolled on the channel for two days.

The minister also stated that the complaints received against the channel have been examined and found to have violated the provisions of the Cable Television Network (Regulation) Act, 1995.

Based on that, the central government issued an order to apologize for giving fake news. The minister said this while replying to Sudhakaran’s question about the action taken against the reporter channel. Sudhakaran said that he had sent a notice demanding compensation of one crore rupees against the reporter channel and its MD for doing indecent journalistic work and would proceed with this case.
