Mr. Principal:

Last Friday, a totally reprehensible event occurred. These are manifestations of intolerance in which a candidate for the presidency of the Nation was attacked, while he was present at the Teatro Colón, to see an opera show. At one point, part of the audience recognized Javier Milei, who was with his partner in a box, according to journalists who were there, also enjoying the show. Some people photographed them and the candidate greeted them. However, a group of about 10 people began to sing offensive songs, while a pair of violinists played the first verse of the Peronist march. It was only a few minutes, but totally reprehensible and undemocratic, whoever the person is and whatever ideology they have, who is in any venue or public space that suffers this type of aggression. These totalitarian attitudes threaten democratic coexistence, even more so, in an emblematic place in Argentina such as the Teatro Colón, where audiences who are educated and know how to behave with respect are supposed to attend. It is to be hoped that these events are not repeated, so that we Argentines respect each other beyond different political ideas.
