The film “Reprise en main” will be shown on Wednesday, October 19. A dramatic comedy directed by Gilles Perret on a topical subject: the future of a factory.

The Arve valley (Haute-Savoie) is the industrial setting of Takeover, the first fiction of Gilles Perret, coming from the social documentary. It tells the story of a factory that runs well but changes hands, in favor of an investment fund. A threat to workers. “This film is also there to show that industry in France is not all rotten. There is high-performance industry, (…) we have the impression that in France, industry it’s over, everything must go, everything must be relocated for the benefit of a company that would be a service company”explains Gilles Perret, the director.

To avoid social damage, a group of friends improvise champions of finance. “The springs of comedy go to these three nickel-plated feet, who manage as best they can to try to have their company bought out by someone other than this investment fund”, says Pierre Deladonchamps, actor. A story of loyalty to the working world and social struggle, but dusted off. “I have the impression that a film like this, when we see it, it gives us power, it gives us awareness of our power”says actress Laetitia Dosch.
