ArcelorMittal, Holcim, Iberia and Repsol have come together to launch All4Zero, a unique technological and industrial innovation hub in Spain, whose objective is to accelerate the development of disruptive technologies in the field of decarbonisation and the circular economy.
The project, of a private, multisectoral and non-profit nature, “was born from the sum of the experience and technological capacity in the industrial sector of its four partners, who share common strategic objectives related to the decarbonization of their activity and the achievement of net zero emissions by 2050,” they explained.
The hub was presented at an event held in Madrid, in which the CEOs of Holcim Spain, Carmen Díaz Canabal; Iberia, Fernando Candela; and Repsol, Josu Jon Imaz; as well as the world general manager of the ArcelorMittal R&D Centers, Nicolás de Abajo.
During the event, the differential value of this initiative was highlighted, which lies in its clear industrial orientation and its purpose of promoting the innovation ecosystem in Spain. The partners explained that they will work to “speed up the development of technologies that favor the transformation of key industrial sectors, such as m, e-mobility, energy, construction or the steel industry.” To do this, they will make their industrial facilities, technology centers and laboratories available to the hub to accelerate the scaling and implementation of disruptive technologies in a more agile way.
In addition, the hub will focus on promoting innovation that is born in universities, research centers, SMEs, startups and entrepreneurs, who will be able to participate in solving technological challenges or carry out concept tests in the industrial facilities that the four partners will make available. of third-party projects.
The four main partners are joined by Enagás, Navantia, Tecnalia and Imdea Energía, who are part of All4Zero as associates and collaborators.
