The High National Elections Commission announced the requirements for accrediting observers and representatives of local media for municipal council elections.

The Commission said in a statement, “As for the local observer, he must belong to one of the civil society organizations, and submit to the Commission a valid declaration from the organization to which he belongs. It is also required that the organization send a letter to the Commission containing the names of its observers, an electronic personal photo and another to prove identity. Then the observer fills out the organization and individual forms and signs a code of conduct.”

The Commission stated that, “In order to register local media representatives, they must belong to a local media institution registered with the state, submit a letter from the media institution they belong to, an electronic personal photo and another to prove their identity, fill out the organization and individual forms, and sign a code of conduct.”
