RER, Transilien: in Île-de-France, the Gérard storm causes disruptions in transport

by time news

The consequences of the Gérard storm are being felt on the Ile-de-France transport network. Several disturbances are underway this Monday morning after winds blew all night over the region, which is still on orange alert, with the exception of Val-d’Oise. In particular, trees fell on several lanes of traffic, which forced the transport services to intervene to clear the rails before any resumption of traffic.

The RER D had to be interrupted between Melun and Corbeil-Essonnes, but should resume in the morning. On the RER E, traffic remains disrupted between Tournan and Haussmann after the fall of a tree between Gretz and Tournan on a catenary. This also has consequences on line P of the Transilien, traffic is slowed down between Coulommiers and the Gare de l’Est, but has been restored to and from Provins.

Other Transilien lines also have to deal with traffic slowdowns or interruptions: on line R, trains are significantly slowed down from Montereau to Gare de Lyon, via Moret and via Héricy, “in these directions of traffic only , as a result of an obstacle on the track (tree) in the Montereau sector”, specifies Île-de-France Mobilités.

Trains removed to clear tracks

Many trains on line L had to be canceled between Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche and Saint-Lazare station because of “weather conditions in the Marly le Roi sector”, traffic should resume around 9 a.m. On line J, a tree fallen on the tracks in the Juziers sector is complicating the smooth running of traffic between Mantes-la-Jolie and Saint-Lazare via Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.

On line T4 of the tram, traffic is completely interrupted between Gargan and République-Marx Dormoy until noon, again due to the fall of a tree on the tracks. Traffic between Bondy and Aulnay is possible, but remains disrupted.

Further west, on the Normandy side, the SNCF has chosen absolute caution: train traffic was interrupted this morning and will not resume until the beginning of the afternoon on the Cherbourg-Caen-Evreux axes, Le Havre-Rouen, Caen-Rouen, Caen-Le Mans, Caen-Rennes, Granville-Dreux, Fécamp-Le Havre-Rolleville, Lisieux-Trouville.
