The first indicators seem to confirm an increase in reservations during the Easter weekend, despite inflation and social movements. Some vacationers have made sacrifices to afford their stay.
Spending a night in a cabin perched in the trees: a unique experience for a family that had been waiting for it for months. To come, we had to make some sacrifices: “I’ve been preparing the savings for three months to surprise the whole family. It was a little hard, but it allows you to take a little break”, explains the father, Stevee Cochard. An increase of 6% compared to 2022
In hotels, the reservation rate is 40.6% for the Easter holidays, i.e. 6% more than in 2022 at the same period. A hotel in Juan-les-Pins (Alpes-Maritimes) has only two rooms available out of 30. But customers seem “consume a little more” the breakfast buffet to skip lunch, says the manager. In the capital, on the other hand, reservations fell by 5 to 10% for the Easter weekend.
