Clément Beaune is a faithful friend of Emmanuel Macron. A man who has always had the ear of the President of the Republic. He also began his political career as a special adviser to the Élysée on European issues, before becoming his G20 adviser. Public recognition will then be made by the President of the Republic, who decides to appoint him in July 2020 Secretary of State in charge of European Affairs.
He arrives in the midst of a transport crisis
Considered one of the representatives of the left wing of the majority, Clément Beaune notably stood out during his mandate through strong acts, such as this meeting of representatives of LGBT associations in Budapest, in the Hungary of Victor Orban.
