Resident Evil 4 players have reported that the Enhanced Mercenaries has accidentally been updated on PS5

Resident Evil 4’s Mercenaries arcade game mode went live on Friday, and some fans believe the update has, intentionally or not, improved the game’s frame rate on PS5.

during The patch notes are very minimal and don’t specifically mention performance improvement, we got a fix for “graphics rendering process causing certain environmental details to appear blurry”.

However, guys on the PS5 subreddit are reporting a more consistent frame rate in resolution mode, which isn’t something you hear every day. We’ll have to wait and see if internet tech wizards like digital casting want to come back for more in-depth analysis to find out the exact metric.
