Resident Evil 4 is back in a 2023 sauce remake. A return to the terrifying adventures of Leon and a legendary game that can already be found in a collector’s edition!
Remember your nights of dread in 2005, when you discovered the charming Spanish forests of Resident Evil 4, only to have a gang of degenerate villagers chase you with chainsaws. Well, those wonderful holidays are back, as Sony and Capcom recently announced the upcoming release of Resident Evil 4 Remake. After RE 2 and RE 3, it is therefore the turn of 4 to undergo a makeover, allowing us to relive Leon’s Spanish nightmare in 4K 60 fps. A poisoned gift, we tell you, but also a renovated masterpiece for an outing to follow.

A trailer, a blog article, that’s what Sony offered us to announce Resident Evil 4. As we can see in this rather breathtaking trailer, the game has completely had a makeover. Note that we are talking about a remake here, and not a remaster. Capcom therefore continues its dynamic of re-offering us some of the most legendary titles in its collection. After Resident Evil 2 and 3, it’s the turn of four to rise from their graves to disrupt our nights. A game that we will find completely remodeled and readapt to gaming standards in 2023. Capcom has also spoken about this new project:
“Once again, our game is developed to reach the heights of the survival-horror genre in 2023, while preserving the essence of the original game. Our goal is to keep the game familiar to fans of the series, while bringing a fresh twist to it. To do this, we reimagine the story while retaining the heart of its making, modernizing the graphics and updating the gameplay.“
In addition to providing us with the first images of Resident Evil 4 Remake, the State of Play also offers us its release date. The game will hit retailer shelves on March 24, 2023, and will also be released on PC and Xbox Series. A title exclusively reserved for new generations of consoles, unfortunately leaving aside PS4 and Xbox One owners. It will of course be found on PC and on Steam, like its predecessors. So, ready to go to the rescue of the daughter of the President of the United States in the confines of the sinister Spanish countryside?
