Resident reports abandoned cars without insurance: “Impossible to find parking”

by time news

A Trieste resident expressed his frustration on a local social media group about the presence of abandoned and uninsured cars near his home. Not being an ATER tenant, the man wonders if he too has the right to request the removal of such vehicles from the public road.

In his message, the citizen complains that, after a long day at work, it is often impossible to find regular parking within a kilometer of his home, due to the presence of numerous cars in an obvious state of abandonment. Despite repeated reports to the competent authorities, he has not yet received any response.

He attached screenshots of uninsured vehicles parked near his home, adding that insured cars with expired MOT should also be included in the count. The citizen emphasizes that, according to Article 80, paragraph 14 of the Highway Code, parking is considered part of traffic and therefore subject to these rules.

“I can only thank you in advance for any possible intervention”, concludes the resident, hoping for a resolution to the problem that is creating discomfort not only for him, but probably for many other citizens in the area.
