A forested agricultural area in the Koromilia region of Domokos, Phthiotis, is burning on Sunday afternoon.
Residents of the area have already been called via 112 to evacuate.
In particular, the message states: “Forest fire in the Koromilia area of Domokos. If you are in the area, move towards Agios Stephanos. Follow the authorities’ instructions.”
To extinguish the fire, ground and aerial firefighting forces have been mobilized.
In particular, 51 firefighters are operating with 2 teams of ground crews, 7 aircraft, and 1 helicopter.
At the same time, according to the Fire Risk Forecast Map issued by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection of the Ministry of Climate Crisis & Civil Protection (civilprotection.gov.gr), a high fire risk (category 3) is expected across a large part of the country for tomorrow, Monday, August 5.
