The police in Örebro County received several calls about youths on motorbikes playing music at “insane volume” during the night. On one occasion, the patrol had to mediate between young people and angry residents.

“It happens everywhere, in every small town. It’s the same in Värmland, people are pissed off,” says Lars Hedelin, press spokesperson at the police.

According to the police, the problems are recurring and involve both cars and A-tractors playing loud music.

“We’re not talking about it making a bit of noise either, it lifts the roof of the house. There are insane volumes on the cars,” says Hedelin.

In Karlskoga, a fight arose in connection with a vehicle playing loud music.

“Several people called in. Finally, the grown-ups got pissed off and talked to the youngsters. There was never a scuffle, but a patrol had to mediate, then everyone went in different directions,” says Hedelin.

During Saturday, complaints came from several places in Värmland about loud playing vehicles. The police received complaints from Kil, Forshaga, Karlstad, Eda, Charlottenberg, Säffle, Arvika, Munkfors, and Sunne. In some cases, fines were also issued.

“When we have the opportunity, a patrol passes by and asks them to lower [the volume], if they don’t, they can be fined,” says Hedelin.
