In Chuvashia, from October 10, the mandatory use of QR codes is introduced when visiting catering establishments, sports and leisure places. This is stated in the message of the head of the republic Oleg Nikolaev in Telegram.

The decision to introduce QR codes was made at a meeting of the operational headquarters to prevent the import and spread of a new coronavirus infection. Using a special application, visitors will be checked vaccination certificates. The innovation has already been tested on September 25 at Health Day.

Nikolaev also instructed to provide unhindered entry for those who have been vaccinated, but cannot provide a QR code in electronic form.

The head of Chuvashia added that sports institutions can be visited subject to certain rules: the arrangement of sports equipment at a distance of 1.5 meters, the occupancy rate in the hall is 1 person per 4 square meters. meters, in the open air – no more than 50 people, in the pool with lanes – 1 person per 10 sq. meters.

Earlier, in Chuvashia, a temporary ban was introduced on cultural events with the full-time presence of citizens, as well as the provision of services in shopping centers and catering establishments due to the increase in the incidence of coronavirus.

By October 1, in Chuvashia, the number of detected cases of COVID-19 exceeded 34 thousand. During the pandemic, 2,325 patients with confirmed coronavirus died in the republic.

In the Perm Territory, the authorities have also introduced mandatory QR codes on the availability of vaccination against coronavirus or immunity when visiting sports competitions, theaters, concert halls, cinemas, circus and tourist events. In Udmurtia, this measure was also extended to catering as an alternative to reducing the occupancy of halls by 50%.
