Residents of Orenburg will go to the Olympics in Tokyo

Gabil Mammadov received a license to play. Years of preparation were not in vain. The Olympiad will be held from July 23 to August 8

The victory in Paris gave a ticket to the Tokyo Olympics. In the qualifying tournament, Gabil Mammadov fought with the bronze medalist of the 2017 and 2019 World Championships, Hovhannes Bachkov. Having gained the upper hand, the Orenburg resident received a license.

The selection was supposed to take place last year. But due to the pandemic, everything was postponed, including the Olympics in Japan.

Only eight athletes from the Orenburg region became candidates for the games in Tokyo.
