Private property will not be violated by the recent reform to article 3 of the Constitution of Mexico City on public, private and social property, assured legislators from Morena, the Job y Green Ecologist in the capital’s Congress.
The Morena deputies, together with their allies, held a conference in the legislative building of Donceles to inform and guarantee citizens that there is no risk to their properties and assets and that, on the contrary, the private property is protected.
They also urged the capital’s residents not to be fooled by opposition actors who seek to spread misinformation on the issue.
“The changes to the Article 3 of the Constitution of Mexico City were only a legal harmonization to give consistency and align the local Constitution with the federal one, so there are no risks for all those property owners, as expressed by the head of Government, Martí Batres,” said the coordinator of Brunette, Xochitl Bravo.
Bravo stressed that the reform had the approval of all parliamentary groups, including the benches of the PRI, PAN and PRDin addition to the Parliamentary Association of Democratic Women and the Citizen Parliamentary Association, which is why it was approved unanimously with the votes of the 66 local deputies.
