American rapper Snoop Dogg announced that he decided to quit marijuana… or at least stop smoking it.

“After much consideration and conversation with my family, I have decided to quit smoking (marijuana),” the rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, told his 82.5 million followers on Instagram.
“Please respect my privacy at this time.”
The news may be shocking to some: the rapper has been openly expressing his love for weed for a long time, and even claimed to have smoked in the White House. He has launched several marijuana-related business ventures, including a weed-focused media company called “Merry Jane,” and a line of cannabis products.
He has also invested in Casa Verde Capital, a venture capital firm that invests in marijuana-related startups.
