Al Waha Oil Company resumed pumping oil from the (Zaqout-Sidra) pipeline, after extinguishing the fire that broke out in it.
According to the National Oil Corporation, “all maintenance work, pipe replacement, and necessary tests have been completed to ensure the safety of pumping operations towards the Sidra port, and production is expected to return to normal rates within the coming hours.”
A few days ago, the firefighting teams of the National Oil Corporation and the companies (Waha, Harouge, Ras Lanuf, Sirte) extinguished a fire that broke out in the oil pipeline (Zaqout – Sidra) belonging to the Waha Company.
After its maintenance, oil pumping resumed through the Al-Zaqout-Al-Sidra pipeline, and production returned to its normal rates within hours. Al-Waha Oil Company resumed…

On Wednesday morning, August 14, 2024, Mr. Masoud Suleiman and Mr. Ahmed Abdullah Ammar, members of the National Oil Corporation, accompanied by Mr. Ahmed Al-Majbari, a member of the Management Committee, and a number of directors of technical departments at the National Oil Corporation and Al-Waha Company, paid an inspection visit to the (Zaqout – Sidra) line, where a fire broke out, to review the measures taken and the maintenance work carried out by all teams working at the site. They stressed the need to follow all safety procedures taken during maintenance operations at various work sites. They also praised the efforts made and the team spirit among all companies affiliated with the Corporation, which called for assistance from the first moments of the fire and controlled it in record time.
