Resuscitation operations on a 50-year-old man who was crushed by an elevator during his work in a residential building in Jerusalem

A 50-year-old man was injured recently (Wednesday) after being crushed by an outdoor elevator during installation work in a residential building in the Beit Hanina neighborhood of Jerusalem. MDA medics and paramedics treated him and evacuated him to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in the city, in a critical condition during resuscitation operations. Police arrived at the scene and are investigating the circumstances of the incident, a report was passed to the Ministry of Labor.

Yaakov Malul, a paramedic from the Rescue Union, said: “This is an elevator technician who collapsed an elevator (in a residential building) and crushed him to death. Unfortunately, his death was determined due to the nature of the serious injuries he suffered.”
