Xalapa, Ver.- The Secretary General of Section 32 of the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE), Daniel Covarrubias López, announced that they are going to start fighting the issue of payment of institutional insurance for which they made a commission where several retired general secretaries are integrated.

During the May Day parade, retirees demonstrated for the payment of the insurance since this affects about 11,000 Retirees and pensioners, for which a commission has already been formed to demand the payment that is owed since 2021.

When speaking, he said that this serious problem affects an average of 11,000 retired workers affiliated with this union organization, since upon retirement they no longer have this benefit.

“That the insurer for retirees and pensioners be hired immediately, they already owe many families the payment of this institutional insurance since 2021, it is not worth it, friends,” he said.

“We have to guarantee the safety of our retired colleagues who are no longer with us, that their family can collect these insurances, therefore we demand it,” he added.

He announced that a commission made up of several secretaries of retirees and lawyers from Section 32, as well as some lawyers, has already been integrated to begin seeking immediate payment of the debt.

It should be noted that during the parade they took the opportunity to directly demonstrate to the governor through a canvas and harangues exposing their complaints for non-payment of retirees and pensioners.
