J-Hope (Jung Hoseok) of the group BTS was discharged after completing his military service.
J-Hope reported his discharge from the military at the 36th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center in Wonju, Gangwon-do on the morning of the 17th.
As J-Hope left the guard post, he spread his arms and smiled broadly, greeting the discharge. Fellow group member Jin came out to meet J-Hope and congratulated him on his discharge.
J-Hope walked in front of the reporters and shouted in a strong voice, “Loyalty!” He saluted and officially announced his discharge. He said, “I was discharged in good health. “I’m really grateful,” he said, adding, “Thanks to the fans, I was able to finish safely.”
He said, “I served in the military for 1 year and 6 months and performed a training mission, so I did a lot of marching, and I saw a lot of Wonju citizens. I am also grateful to the citizens who greeted and supported the soldiers every time I did that.” “I was so touched, and I don’t know how to express my passionate feelings,” he said.
J-Hope asked for attention to military personnel. He emphasized, “The soldiers of the Armed Forces put in hard work and dedication to protect the country for 1 year and 6 months, and they really do a lot for the country.” He added, “I think it would mean even more if the people showed great interest and love.” did it

J-Hope enlisted in the army as an active-duty soldier in April last year and served as an assistant instructor.
J-Hope garnered attention for his exemplary military service. He acquired special warrior qualifications, was promoted to corporal two months early, and was also assigned to the position of squad leader leading a squad. In November of last year, J-Hope’s work as a teaching assistant was revealed and received a lot of attention.
J-Hope shared his special feelings on Weverse last month, saying, “Looking back on my time in the military, I feel proud and proud,” and “Time passed by quickly, but now I have affection for it and it makes me feel sad.”
J-Hope is a member of the 36th Division team, and three people, including himself, went on stage together and told stories about their military experiences. Meanwhile, in commemoration of J-Hope’s discharge from military service, Fandom Army created ‘J-Hope Forest 2’, a bench garden commemorating his discharge, between the central pond and the water playground in Seoul Forest, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. Japanese fans installed a sculpture named after him in Buk-gu, Gwangju, his hometown, and donated scholarships to local youth.
