Until Sunday 28 April (included), the temple, located at 33 Grande-Rue, is holding an exhibition entitled “Retrospective”. It was prepared by the Darouma association, led by its president Martine Bel, and traces the artistic journey of Robert Smith through his paintings, sculptures and drawings. This Englishman was born near London in 1961, and studied fine arts in his native country before starting his itinerant journey between London, Cornwall and France. In 2003, he moved to Mortagne, falling in love with the landscapes of the estuary, he came to hitchhiking with only a few cases, and decided to resume drawing, with his tracing board under his hand, drawing as he walked.

He sets images, such as scribbles or photographs, and exhibits his work in local galleries and craft fairs. From 2005 onwards, he started making a collection of found objects and materials, scraps of paper or cardboard, toys, paint and varnish obtained from recycling centers.

At the same time, the artist does not forget the music and writing that he practices regularly.

The exhibition can be seen during the April holidays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2 pm to 6 pm, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 12 pm 4 pm). FREE entry. Information: 06 87 48 78 28.
