Manama: The money received from the road was returned to the owner and became a Malayali example. Ashokan Sarovar, a native of Kozhikode’s Vadakara Meppa, is the pride of the expatriates.

Ashoka, an employee of Kansara Jewellery, near Sri Krishna Temple, Manama, received a package on the road near the establishment on Wednesday morning. The bundle contained 1540 dinars wrapped in a biscuit envelope. He immediately informed the jewelery owner.

As per the instruction of the owner, when the CCTV was checked, the money was found to belong to a native of Tamil Nadu who works in another jeweler nearby. One of the three bundles he was carrying fell down.

He was very happy to receive the money he thought was lost from Ashoka. A sum of money was offered as a gift, but Ashoka lovingly refused.
