Chandika Hathurusinghe, the head coach of the Bangladesh team, returned to Dhaka from the Pakistan tour and went to spend a holiday with her family in Australia. Finally this coach is returning home after vacation.
Hathurusingh is scheduled to reach Dhaka at 10:30 pm on Saturday (September 14). A Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) source confirmed to RisingBD.
Discussions are raging whether the board will keep Hathurusinghe. However, as the tour of India is at the door, BCB is not walking that way for now. Hathurusinghe will fly to India with the team tomorrow.
The cricketers started training after a few days after returning from the Pakistan tour. Since September 9, most of the team’s cricketers have been sweating under other members of the coaching staff and domestic coaches.
Meanwhile, captain Nazmul Hossain cast a calm vote in favor of the coach amid discussions and criticism. The left-handed batsman from the tour of Pakistan said that everything is going very well with Hathurusingha.
