A phone case that needs changing, a charger that no longer works, a broken screen, or even the purchase of a new phone, Écotech Phone 27 takes care of it all.
Since January 2024, Rachid Hassani has opened his phone shop on rue d’Albufera in Vernon (Eure).
A stylish decor
Although the 28-year-old manager bought a shop that was already selling phones, he completely renovated it with his own concept.
“My concept is to give a different image of phone shops, to break this image of clutter where everything is everywhere and nothing is organized. I wanted to create a store with a modern design”
The decor of the young entrepreneur’s shop is rather sophisticated. The floor mimics fine black marble, and the white walls are adorned with phone accessories like cases, wrapped in black pouches. Display cases showcase refurbished phones. The shop is neat, nothing is left lying around. At the back, a counter where the cash register is located. Rachid Hassani is behind it, listening to the phone issues of his future customers.
Repairs in 2 hours
The shop sells new or refurbished phones and a variety of accessories: air pods, virtual reality headsets, drones, laptops, chargers, cases, car mounts… Skilled in repairs, this is the young merchant’s core business. “I repair a lot of broken screens as well as issues related to the phone itself. It varies…,” he states. He also replaces phone batteries when they no longer hold a charge, repairs laptops (depending on the issue), or tablets.
“On average, 98% of repairs are done in 2 hours. Sometimes, it’s quicker: 45 minutes. Customers leave their phones and come back to pick them up the same day”
Contact skills
Speed and efficiency for the benefit of the customer are the watchwords of the young manager, and one could add a sense of contact.
He takes the time with his customers to fully understand their problems, guide them appropriately, and ensure their satisfaction. This Friday, August 16, a tourist from Spain comes to pick up her phone that wouldn’t charge anymore. Rachid Hassani takes the time needed with the tourist, speaking to her in perfect Spanish. The customer is all smiles when she realizes her smartphone is charged. Besides Spanish, Rachid Hassani also speaks very good English. Having always been immersed in the world of telephony, he opened a similar shop in England.
