Revealed: What series is everyone watching without paying?

The website compared the downloads of the two prequel series – one for “Game of Thrones” and the other for “Lord of the Rings” – using the I Know What You Download website, which allows tracking of torrent downloads, and found that in the second and third week of September, “House of the Dragon” won 9 million downloads, when on the day a new episode comes out the number of downloads reaches 1.4 million. This is compared to “Rings of Power”, which was downloaded 5 million times during those two weeks, and on the days when new episodes were uploaded, it “only” reached 650,000 downloads.

For that matter, we checked the download data for Wednesday in Israel, and found that here too “House of the Dragon” enjoys a much higher popularity than “Rings of Power”: 7 of the 10 popular torrents in Israel were of “House of the Dragon” compared to only 2 of “Rings of Power” , when the number of downloads of the last episode of each of them was 1,002 for “House of the Dragon” (Episode 6) compared to only 370 for “Rings of Power” (Episode 5), and comparing only the most popular version (because the episode of “The Dragon House” appeared in 3 versions) 427 compared to 370, and the number of downloads of the previous episode of each of them is slightly closer but still with a significant difference – 267 for “The Dragon’s House” (episode 5) compared to 229 for “Rings of Power” (episode 4).

These figures agree with the words of Andy Chatterley, CEO of the piracy monitoring company MUSO, who told the AdWeek website two weeks ago that the launch week figures for “Dragon House” were 45% higher than the corresponding figures for “Rings of Power”, and in the second week even The difference increased to 127% (we also saw such a difference in our test, since episodes of “House of the Dragon” receive many downloads even after the release of the episodes that follow them, compared to “Her Rings of Power” which seems to be only its last two episodes that are popular). “It shows me that the demand for the ‘Rings of Power’ has dropped compared to the popularity and demand for ‘Dragon House,'” he said.
