A Nintendo DS classic that finally comes to Xbox consoles.
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is the definition of a cult classic. Released in 2010 for Nintendo DS, this was a title that from the beginning entered my eye at that time. Every time I saw images in the mythical magazine Nintendo Action called me powerfully particular artistic style and gameplayespecially after learning that it was a title developed by the same people responsible for another mythical saga such as Ace Attorney.

2D gameplay is innovative and addictive, as Sissel’s ability to do “ghostly tricks” opens up a whole range of ever-increasing challenges that almost always provide a rush every time we figure out how to solve a puzzle. As Sissel can only take her soul from one object to another., players have to interact with different things, such as rolling a car wheel down a slope to reach a previously unreachable area or shaking a flagpole to prevent something from falling. As time stops when sissel moves between objectsthis gives players a chance to think about their next move, but we’ll have to let the clock run down between moves to see how the choices have affected certain characters and their environment. Sissel can rewind time up to a certain point if you’ve missed something, and later in the game you’re given an additional power that adds another layer of complexity to the mix. However, I am not going to explain what it consists of for spoiler reasons.
Although Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective offers a unique puzzle solving experience, has some small flaws. Several sections can seem overly complicated compared to others, sometimes requiring a bit of a heavy trial and error exercise to find the right solution. Also, it would have been nice to incorporate forward and backward mechanics in real time, rather than a simple checkpoint system. Because if players take the wrong route or make a mistake, sometimes they will have to wait 30 seconds or more to restart the same section. Something that is very frustrating in the 13 hours long Ghost Trick.
fresh and original plot
One of the most outstanding features of Ghost Trick is its captivating narrative.. The game’s narrative is beautifully paced which helps keep players on their toes. And as Sissel interacts with other spirits and characters, the story unfolds with a constant stream of surprising twists, bringing ensures a constant sense of expectation. The script is also fresh and witty, steeped in the humor and fantasy of the Ace Attorney series, adding depth to the characters and their interactions.
Technical and sound level in high definition
Ghost Trick animations are beautiful, and the wacky moves can finally be seen in high definition, instead of looking like pixels like they did on the Nintendo DS. TO artistic level the title enters through the eye thanks to his particular style.
The same care has been put into the soundtrack. When it comes to remastering fan-favorite songs, the reception can be very mixed. However, with the Ghost Trick soundtrack, the difference between the original and the arranged version is overnight. Each tune is much cleaner and more vibrant, with better EQ, mixing, and fuller instrumentation that longtime fans are sure to love.
