‘Revival now needs to continue in life’

by time news

After more than two weeks of uninterrupted worship, the prayer meeting that took place at Asbury University in the United States had to come to an end, but not from a spiritual point of view. For pastor and author Geremias Couto, now is the time for the revival to “continue in the lives of each one”.

The pastor who commented on Asbury’s spiritual movement on other occasions, explained that impacted Christians should now show God’s action with their lives, witnessing the gospel of Christ to the world.

“Asbury’s direction ended the non-stop service that lasted more than two weeks and attracted people from all over the world. Is the revival over? On the contrary, now it needs to continue in the lives of each one”, said the pastor on social media.

Couto remembered that “the early believers did not stay forever in the Upper Room. They went out and spread the fire,” as must Christians who saw God at work in the Asbury revival.

Legacy

People from all over the United States and the world came to Asbury to participate in the service that was taking place in the university’s main auditorium. Now, the location holds the institution’s regular meetings, while a new location has been designated for the continuity of previous activities.

The university director, Dr. Kevin J. Brown, celebrated the legacy left by the students, noting that from day one, “there were countless expressions and demonstrations of radical humility, compassion, confession, consecration and surrender to the Lord.”

“We are witnessing the Fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, meekness and self-control,” added the director, according to information on the university’s official website.

From now on, Asbury services can be followed live every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 am to 10:50 am (local time) through this link: https://www.asbury.edu/life/spiritual -life/chapel/live/ or by clicking here.
