jpnn.comJAKARTA – Actor Reza Rahadian was also present at the demonstration rejecting the ratification of the revised Regional Election Law at the DPR Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (22/8).
He even loudly voiced his protest amidst thousands of demonstrators taking place.
“Seeing how the Constitutional Court has restored its image after its face was in tatters. After this, we have received a decision that we really respect from the Constitutional Court,” said Reza Rahadian.
“Today we get the reality, it will be annulled the institution that claims to be the representative of all our people today. So who do you represent in this?” he quipped.
The Heartbreak Motel actor strongly criticized the DPR which planned to annul the Constitutional Court’s decision.
He felt that what the council members did was not representative of the people.
In addition, Reza Rahadian emphasized that he joined the demonstration to voice his conscience, not to represent any interests.
“I do not represent any interests, I do not participate in any way, I am present as an ordinary citizen together with all my friends. We are present here with people who are restless to see democracy like this,” said the Citra Award-winning actor.
