The census teams, under the supervision of the Regional Directorate of the HCP, began in the morning to survey the different districts of the city of Dakhla to collect data of crucial importance for the development of the country and the strengthening of efficiency public policies over the coming years.
In a statement to MAP, the regional director of the High Commission for Planning, Cheikh Mohamed Maoulainine, indicated that the operation is progressing well thanks to the means mobilized to achieve the objectives set out, noting that the launch of the operation took place in “good conditions”.
Furthermore, Mr. Maoulainine praised the spirit of responsibility and seriousness shown by the staff in charge of the RGPH throughout the training and field scouting phase within the framework of the RGPH, which is highly likely to lay a good basis for the development of future public policies and sectoral and socio-economic strategies.
For her part,Hakima Toumya,communal supervisor in the province of Oued Eddahab,stressed that this year’s census operation is marked by the introduction of new technologies,explaining that the data listed in the electronic tablets are directly sent to the HCP’s central servers,without any traceability on electronic gadgets.
