This face-to-face training, provided by training controllers and municipal supervisors, is part of the human resources training process planned for the implementation of the RGPH next September.
According to the Regional Director of the HCP of the Oriental, El Houssine Lazaro, this training, which is part of the third stage organized at the level of the different prefectures and provinces of the Kingdom, extends over the period from August 15 to 27.
Throughout this training which concerns census takers and controllers, he stressed in a statement to MAP, the emphasis will be placed on the practical side, namely everything concerning the tablet and the computer applications which will be used to carry out the census operation.
Participants have already benefited from distance training which has enabled them to gain knowledge of the concepts, definitions and approach in force for carrying out the general census of the population and housing.
At the level of the Oriental region, the number of beneficiaries of this training amounts to some 3,300 people, including around 830 at the level of the province of Nador, said Mr. Lazaro, adding that just after the completion of this training, “we will move on to another equally important stage concerning the reconnaissance of the field.”
This stage is scheduled for August 30 and 31, while the transition to the execution of the census in the field marking the start of data collection from households is set for September 1, the head of the HCP further specified while inviting the inhabitants of the Oriental to adhere to this national process which is of capital importance for the implementation of development strategies.
The training is supervised by trainer-controllers, including Zakaria Mokhtari who explained that his role is to transmit to the participants the knowledge acquired during a session organized recently on the various aspects of the census operation.
“Our mission is to provide participants with as much information and knowledge as possible so that the data collected from households is accurate and complete, in order to contribute to the success of the RGPH 2024, marked by complete digitalization,” he noted.
For her part, Najlae Hayyoune, beneficiary of the training, noted that her presence among many other participants (men and women) in the training is a source of pride given the importance of the RGPH 2024 for the future of the country and its socio-economic development which requires the commitment of the different components of society.
This training is of great importance as it will enable controllers and investigators in the province of Nador to successfully carry out their mission in the field, she continued.
The HCP has designed a dual training course for the human resources responsible for implementing the RGPH 2024: the first theoretical and online training took place between March 15 and June 15, 2024, while the second is face-to-face and divided into three phases.
The first phase took place at the central level from July 8 to 20, the second took place at the provincial level from July 29 to August 10, while the third phase is held at the municipal level between August 15 and 27, according to data from the HCP.
