Rheinfels castle
Using the example of this castle, one can study the history of feudal Germany, as well as subsequent eras – up to the time of the Weimar Republic: how the German counties were divided and united, how the wars of succession were fought, how Napoleon divided the map of Europe in a new way, and after him the Congress of Vienna. In 1812, when Napoleon was just being driven from Russia, the ruins were sold by the French to a local merchant.
