The order was made in July, the delivery dates are set for the period “from mid-2024 to the end of 2025”, the concern’s press service clarifies. According to Rheinmetall, the Spanish Armed Forces are purchasing chargers for M109 and SIAC 155 mm howitzers in order to replenish ammunition stocks in view of the Ukrainian conflict, in which the West continues to provide military assistance to Kyiv.

The Spanish Army has already placed several orders with Rheinmetall in 2024, including the purchase of mortar and artillery ammunition in March and April.
