This caravan, organized as part of the “Riaya 2024-2025” program, in collaboration with the municipality of Anjil and the provincial and local authorities, enabled 903 medical consultations to be carried out, including 561 in specialized medicine and 342 in general medicine. .
She also recorded 318 nursing examinations and consultations, 48 ultrasounds, 36 electrocardiograms, 42 consultations related to school health and 234 health awareness consultations.
To ensure the success of this caravan, 17 specialized doctors were mobilized in disciplines such as gynecology-obstetrics, pediatrics, cardiology, orthopedics, dermatology, and ENT, in addition to a team of professionals nurses.
In a statement to MAP, the president of the Association of Citizen Skills for Development in Fez, Leila Mernissi, stressed that this action is part of the annual programs of the association’s medical campaigns in partnership with the regional health directorate of Fez-Meknes.
According to her, this campaign aims to bring health services closer together, detect certain diseases early, provide medicines and identify serious pathologies.
Ms. Mernissi highlighted, in this regard, the royal guidelines concerning advanced regionalization, which emphasize the strengthening of the health sector, from primary health centers to university hospitals.
She also specified that cases requiring medical monitoring will be taken care of in public hospitals, at the Hassan II University Hospital Center, as well as in private clinics.
It should be recalled that the Ministry of Health and Social Protection had launched operation “Riaya” 2024-2025 in application of the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aimed at providing the necessary care to the populations of areas affected by the cold wave, and as part of efforts to guarantee the continuity of services and their proximity to the inhabitants of these regions.
Carried out from November 15, 2024 to March 30, 2025, this operation aims to ensure an adequate response to the health needs of populations living in areas affected by the cold wave and areas far from rural areas, by providing local health services. , including primary health care, as well as curative care and awareness services at the health center level.
It also aims to guarantee the availability of human resources, equipment, medicines and health products in 591 health centers, and to organize 3,552 visits to mobile medical units in remote areas and in gathering points of the target population, in addition to 196 specialized medical caravans and specialized medical campaigns to provide health care to affected patients.
