The Government has “pardoned” about 380 renewable projects, whose deadline to obtain construction authorization expired on July 25, two days after the general elections were held. The Government has approved a 6-month extension for these developments to obtain the relevant construction authorization after receiving the positive environmental impact declaration (DIA), the vast majority of which are photovoltaic.

The holders of renewable and storage projects will have six more months to obtain their accreditation and avoid returning to the starting box, restarting a cumbersome administrative processing process after once again obtaining access and connection permits to the network.

The extension of these six months affects renewable projects that add up to 43 gigawatts of power – 80% photovoltaic and 20% wind – that had to obtain the

construction authorization before next July 25 or decay.

The projects, in any case, will be completed before exceeding five years from when the processing began, as up to now, in order to comply with the green agenda.
