In the town of Jesús María, Santo Domingo, the State Government delivered more than 6,840 backpacks and school supplies, as well as 4,109 pairs of shoes, to the children and young people. Here the State Governor reiterated that education is a priority in his Government and proof of this is the historic investment for 180 new schools, to which 100 more will be added next year, in addition to the support provided to teachers with a bonus of more than 220 million pesos.

In Matehuala, Gallardo Cardona donated more than six thousand backpacks, school supplies and pairs of shoes to primary school students.
In addition, to strengthen the comprehensive public security strategy, vehicles, patrol cars, motorcycles and tactical police equipment were delivered in Matehuala, so that families in the highlands will continue to have peace and tranquility.
When delivering 12 pick-up vehicles equipped for patrols, five motorcycles and 50 level III bulletproof vests for the municipal public security department, the State Governor reaffirmed his Government’s commitment to bring more peace of mind to all municipalities, for which reason he recalled the recent delivery of 151 patrol cars to the State Civil Guard (GCE) and the provision of a large police vehicle fleet to 25 municipalities, including Matehuala.
As a result of agreements with the State Government, Matehuala received, in addition to the acquisitions, three Nissan Frontier pick-up trucks, two for the Municipal Civil Protection Coordination, for verifications, risk analysis and attention to phenomena, and a unit for Municipal Public Security that becomes part of the vehicle team to safeguard people’s lives and property.

In a further demonstration of the commitment to education and to bringing more support to the people of Potosí in the four regions, Ricardo Gallardo Cardona delivered educational support from the Potosí for Education program in the municipality of Guadalcázar, consisting of 3,688 backpacks, 2,213 pairs of shoes, as well as workbooks and supplies, which provide significant savings to the family economy and combat school dropouts.
The Potosí Education Program delivers 300,000 backpacks, 150,000 pairs of shoes and more than 220,000 school supplies at the state level to improve basic public education in the State of San Luis Potosí, in both the state and federal educational systems.
