Thousands of users, families, students, people with disabilities and senior citizens in the metropolitan area will have a modern and fast mobility system starting this Monday, with the start of the new MetroRed route that was put into operation by the Governor of San Luis Potosí, Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, which will run along Valle de Los Fantasmas Boulevard, from Alameda to Ciudad Satélite and back.

Before hundreds of jubilant users who were grateful for the arrival of the new lines of the MetroRed transportation system, the State Governor announced that 100 new trucks with the highest technology will be integrated to add 200 by the end of the six-year term, after highlighting that the new route directly benefits more than eight thousand people, including students, workers in the industrial zone and families with an initial service that is totally free.

In the presence of representatives of the business sector, students from various higher education institutions and residents of the colonies, the Head of the State Executive, highlighted that with this new system, the metropolitan area experiences a transformation that had not happened in 20 years due to the omission and abandonment of the governments of the cursed inheritance, which left an unfinished project with debts of 350 million pesos.

He recalled that from the industrial zone to the Alameda, the cursed legacy left potholes all along the road and on the last day, the Governor presented a truck that he inaugurated and never worked, because he had no trucks purchased and they had not done anything, unlike the project of the current administration that already has four MetroRed routes with the best mobility and safe and quality trucks, “which is what they have been fighting for for a long time.”

Finally, Gallardo Cardona highlighted that from now on, they will have a service through new BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) units, with cutting-edge technological features and announced that Route III will run along the 43-kilometer Potosí Circuit with 38 bus stops on both sides, while the route from Alameda to Ciudad Satélite will run 43 kilometers, with 20 bus stops on both sides and is expected to transport more than eight thousand people on average daily.
