Richarlison hunts Mbappé, still king of scorers

by time news

Author of a new goal against South Korea, Richarlison now has three goals since the start of the World Cup.

Brazilian striker Richarlison, scorer for the Seleçao against South Korea (4-1) on Monday in the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup, returned to two units from the star of the Blues Kylian Mbappé still king of scorers with five achievements.

And three for Richarlison

Richarlison scored the third goal for the five-time world champions half an hour into the game (30th) in true Brazilian style: he completed an action he had initiated himself, juggling his head to get rid of three South Korean defenders, relying on Marquinhos and Thiago Silva in relay, before unleashing a low left shot.

The Auriverde striker moves up to second place, two lengths behind Kylian Mbappé, who scored twice the day before against Poland. He shares the role of runner-up with seven other gunners including Leo Messi, Olivier Giroud and the Spaniard Alvaro Morata.

The La Roja striker will have the opportunity to improve his statistics if he is aligned in the penultimate round of 16 between Spain and Morocco on Tuesday (4:00 p.m.).

Note the appearance in this ranking of the Brazilians Neymar, author of the 2nd goal on penalty, and Vinicus Jr who opened the scoring.

5 goals: Mbappe (France)
