jpnn.comJAKARTA – RIDO spokesperson Mulya Amri assessed that the plan to implement vertical housing development in central Jakarta is appropriate, in order to meet the provision of housing for residents.

RIDO is an acronym for the names Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, who are the candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta.

“Vertical housing in the center of Jakarta is often considered unreasonable by people, but it actually makes sense, because what is expensive in the city center is the land,” Mulya told the media crew, Tuesday (10/9).

Mulya mentioned a survey conducted by the Association of Planning Experts (IAP) in 2022, which revealed a score of 50 for the ease of owning a house in Jakarta.

He said the IAP findings indicated that Jakarta residents were still having difficulty owning a home.

Mulya believes that vertical housing, such as the idea of RIDO candidates, could be a solution to the problem of residents owning a home.

“So, what needs to be worked out is how to reduce land costs,” he said.

According to Mulya, the cost of land can be reduced by increasing the number of units on the land being built or executing the program on land owned by the DKI Regional Government.

RIDO spokesperson Mulya Amri considers the vertical housing program very appropriate to be implemented in central Jakarta. Why?
