Three weeks have passed since Yair Lapid entered the Prime Minister’s Office and since then we have gone to the fifth election in three years. During these three weeks, quite a few polls were published, and “Here News” together with the “Index” website presented the poll this evening (Thursday) – the average of all the polls of the past month.
The poll does not include the impact of US President Joe Biden’s visit to Israel, nor does it include Zehava Galon’s return to politics with her announcement that she will run for Meretz. Had the election been held today and according to the poll, the Likud would have won 35 seats. Yesh Atid would get 22 seats and blue and white with new hope – 12.
While negotiations between Jewish power and religious Zionism continued, the current list would have won 10 seats, Shas with 8 and Torah Judaism with 7. Those who do not pass the blocking percentage are Meretz and Yemina led by Minister Ayelet Shaked.
Friends, there are times when ideology is more important than considerations of respect and work arrangements.
I call on Ayelet Shaked and Zehava Galon to put aside their personal precipitation, and join hands.
