TNA Member of Parliament R.Shanakiyan has said that the British Foreign Secretary’s diplomatic visit will take the issue of the Tamil people to the next level and coordinate the means by which we can claim our rights as soon as possible.
Lord Tariq, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development, British Parliament, MA Sumanthiran, Member of Parliament for the Tamil National Alliance and Ir. Chanakyan met today.
Many issues such as the current government’s attacks on the rights of Tamil-speaking people and minorities and the need to amend the constitution and some of the current legal measures against minorities were also discussed.
