Initiated by the Association “Impact for Development”, this workshop is part of the opening of the CDAI to civil society actors with its various components, as a lever and fundamental element of participatory democracy and democratic construction, according to the Commission.

Likewise, the CDAI constitutes, with citizens, institutions and relevant organizations, a central and crucial link in the consolidation of the right of access to information, it is specified.

During this event, the CDAI reviewed the role of the Commission, the procedure for the right of access to information in accordance with Law 31-13, as well as the section relating to the roles and commitments of the institutions and organizations concerned, and the section on proactive publication measures.

This meeting was also an opportunity for the CDAI to present its action plan which will be implemented in consultation with a group of civil society associations, and this as part of the continuity of the activity organized last October in Rabat, in partnership with the Association “Impact for Development”.

In a statement to M24, the continuous news channel of MAP, the coordinator of the administrative staff of the CDAI, Firdaous Methqal, indicated that the participation of the Commission in this workshop aims to present its action plan which was implemented in favor of civil associations.

“The CDAI always strives to integrate civil society associations into the heart of its actions and activities,” she said, noting that this activity is the prelude to an approach that will continue across all regions of the Kingdom.

For his part, Lhachmi Aberbach, an associative actor from Ain Leuh, province of Ifrane, specified, in a similar statement, that this meeting takes place within the framework of a dynamic aimed at the development and openness to civil society, in particular the promotion of the right of access to information, emphasizing in this regard the positive interaction of the associations that took part in this workshop.

For her part, Sanaa Hayek, an associative actress from Tetouan, noted that access to information is an essential and crucial right for achieving the expected development and improving the administration, noting that this meeting was an opportunity for the associations benefiting from this training session to examine ways to achieve development and promote integrity and transparency.

It should be noted that the CDAI had organized a series of similar activities, notably in Sefrou, in partnership with the General Directorate of Territorial Communities (DGCT) and the Provincial Council of Sefrou, as well as another activity in the city of Oujda in partnership with the Mohammed Premier University, and with the support of the Wilaya of the Oriental and the participation, among others, of associations, executives from local authorities, in addition to teacher-researchers.
