jpnn.comJAKARTA – Three political parties such as PDIP, PKB and PKS insist on rolling out the right of inquiry to resolve election issues in the DPR RI.

This step is seen as a way for elite political parties (political parties) to gain political influence after losing the 2024 presidential election.

Political Analyst and Executive Director of Indonesian Data Scale, Arif Nurul Imam, said that the proposed right of inquiry by the three political parties was only for political gain in order to negotiate with the winner of the 2024 presidential election.

“I said that the right to inquiry could have two motives. First, it aims to investigate potential or suspected election fraud. “Secondly, it is also reasonable to suspect that the right of inquiry has the potential to be used to create political competition for political parties in camps 01 and 03,” said Arif, Wednesday (6/3/2024).

According to Arif Nurul Imam, this proposal for the right to inquiry will most likely fail because only three parties have openly proposed the right to inquiry. Meanwhile, two other parties, such as the Nasdem Party and PPP, did not participate in the proposed right of inquiry during the DPR RI Plenary Session, Tuesday 5 March 2024.

“If this is then canceled or there is no right to inquiry, it is likely that the right to inquiry will only be used as a tool for political gain by political elites. If it’s canceled it’s just playing politics. “Political bluffing for political negotiations,” he said.

Apart from that, said Arif Nurul Imam, the step of rolling out the right to inquiry is limited to influencing public opinion so that people are forced to believe that there is fraud in the 2024 elections.

“The right to inquiry will certainly influence public opinion because allegations of potential election fraud will become public discussion, the emergence of discourse on the right to inquiry will be read by the public as saying that election fraud could be true,” he said.

Political analyst Ujang Komarudin said the proposed right of inquiry by the parties that lost the 2024 presidential election was just part of a political game.
