An anti-Semitic incident took place in the Polish parliament on Tuesday afternoon: The right-wing radical politician Grzegorz Braun extinguished Hanukkah candles set up in the parliament building with a fire extinguisher. This is shown by various videos from journalists on the portal X (formerly Twitter). The parliamentary session was adjourned at 5 p.m. following the incident.

“Mr Braun, what have you done?” asked journalist Patryk Michalski from “Wirtualna Polska”, who witnessed the incident, on the X portal. “I put an end to it,” said Braun. Bystanders reportedly shouted for Braun to be ashamed of himself during the incident. He responded by saying, “Those who participate in this satanic cult should be ashamed.”
