Bollywood actress Rimi Sen has filed a case of Rs 60 crore against the motor company. The actress has also sent legal notices to Jaguar Land Rover, Navneetha Motors, Satish Motors. It mentioned the name of the actress as ‘Shubhmitra Sen’ (Rimi’s real name). Times of India published this news.
Citing the case documents, the media reported that Rimi Sen’s car collided with a pillar on August 25, 2022 due to a problem with the car’s rear camera. After informing the companies about this, they did not respond. The response received is very poor customer service. As a result Rimi was harassed.
The car has been repaired about 10 times by the company since its purchase. Still the car is not completely fixed. Rimi has filed a case seeking compensation of Rs 50 crore for this mental harassment. Apart from this, the actress has asked for another 10 lakh rupees for legal expenses.
Rimi Sen told Times of India, ‘I am completely disappointed with this car company and their service. Their behavior towards customers is very bad. My car hit the pillar, but it could have happened to other people anywhere else. In this case, the possibility of loss of life cannot be ruled out. Due to carelessness someone else’s life could have been lost, I could have also died, so I have filed a suit for compensation of 50 crores. I deserve it for all the emotional abuse I’ve been through.’
Expressing hope, Rimi Sen said, ‘Hopefully, I will get justice. My lawyers Pushpa Ganediwala & Co. are looking after the entire legal process.’
Rimi Sen stepped on the silver screen with the movie ‘Parmita Ekdan’. Indian Bengali movie released in 2000. Rimi then acted in two Telugu films. This actress made her Bollywood debut in 2003 with the movie ‘Hungama’.
